Extra virgin olive oil 3 Tbsp.
Lightlife® Plant-Based Ground 12 oz.
Onion, medium, finely chopped 1 each
Celery, chopped 1 stalk
Carrot, small, peeled, chopped 1 each
Garlic, finely chopped 2 cloves
Chili flakes 1 tsp.
Crushed tomatoes 2 cups
Balsamic vinegar ½ Tbsp.
Vegetable stock ⅓ cup
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste
Pasta, prepared 6 oz.
Basil 1 bundle


  1. Heat a deep pot over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Add Plant-Based Ground, crumble up and stir for 3-4 minutes or until lightly brown and has reached an internal temperature of 165ºF (74ºC).
  2. Add onions, celery, carrots, garlic, chili flakes, tomatoes, vinegar, broth, salt and pepper; stir well to combine. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes to an hour until all the veggies are soft and cooked through.
  3. Add pasta and mix well; top with basil and serve.
